Pleasant surprise

I have just ordered a second engine as a Christmas gift for my son. That should tell you how pleased I am with the one I have just received. Putting it together was fun and easy as the instructions are excellent. I will admit the little washers are very small and hard to handle but that cannot be helped. It took me about half an hour to put together the engine and it ran the first time. I oiled all the moving parts (NOT THE PISTONS) with WD 30. It runs very quietly. I get about 10 minutes run time on one charge. I made a walnut base for mine as you can see in the picture. This product is sturdily build, should last a lifetime. I appreciate the spare parts as well. Altogether great value for the money.

Good Value

You need good eyes and tweezers for assembling, especially for the small bushings.
Fortunately there are screws, gaskets and bushings left over in case you loose a part during mounting.
Don't use it directly on a wooden desk. There remains an ugly spot underneath from the alcohol burner. Maybe it's from filling the tank or some leakage.
The only issue I found is a large axial clearance of the lever within the smaller piston. This might lead to unwanted contact between the lever and the flywheel. (See the photo attached)
All in all I find it worth the price.

Great little kit.

I bought this kit, to assemble on a YouTube live stream. Before hand I had painted it up. Assembly was easy enough, a bit fiddly for my big fingers at some of the stages, and I had to use a magnifying glass to read the instructions (that might be my eyes). But it went together and ran straight away. Quite chuffed with it, and for the price a good bit of fun.
