FAQ About TOYAN V8 Engine Q1: Would you please share some basic information about this TOYAN V8 Engine? There are 2 version for TOYAN V8 Engine, one is KIT and the other assembled. This V8 engine is in 1/10 scale and use nitro (methanol) fuel. (20-25% nitro fuel is prepared by user)
Q2: How does this TOYAN V8 Engine lubricate? About its lubrication method, it is the same to TOYAN FS-L400 Engine, that is to say, it adopts mixed splash lubrication instead of independent lubrication. Just add a small amount of grease to the camshaft.
Q3: Is it water cooling or air cooling? This new TOYAN V8 Engine is water-cooled version due to the positioning is mainly desktop power and is based on TOYAN L400 4-cylinder engine. There is a built-in mechanical water-cooling pump and the power of the pump body comes from the crankshaft to provide circulating power for the coolant. (Water cooling accessories are prepared by user)
Q4: What's difference of the exhaust pipe of TOYAN V8 Engine? There is a highlight of this TOYAN V8 Engine's exhaust pipe. It adopts full metal small integrated exhaust manifold which is welded instead of metal printed parts. And the process is quite difficult and it costs a lot to lower the defect rate.
Q5: Is there any new design for this TOYAN V8 Engine's carburetor ? Certainly, the carburetor of TOYAN V8 Engine adopts a new carburetor with a pump that is completely different from TOYAN L400 Engine.

Q8: Why methanol engine? I like gasoline engine better! TOYAN V8 engine is powered by nitro but we are able to transfer it into the gasoline version. Because the side of the cylinder head adopts the D-axis extension and the OP upgrade parts will be lauched in the next future.

UPDATE to 3/8/23 post:
Still haven’t been able to start this engine due to EngineDIY not able to provide the proper sensor and one that is not defective.
The pictures below show the sensor malfunctioning. The red light is not supposed to be on when no magnetic is available. Other pictures show the mismatched plug.
So I guess I’ll either just abandon the gas operations and go with nitro or try to figure out something else.
At this point I have buyers remorse purchasing from EngineDIY. It was a toss up between EngineDIY and SterlingKit. I actually went to SterlingKit for technical questions when EngineDIY couldn’t get me the info in a timely manner.
Needless to say now I am very disappointed with Toyan, they don’t respond at all And I don’t think they were ready to market the gas version of this V8.

Original post after engine assembly.
Very cool little engine.
I purchased the assembly version of the FS-V800WG (gasoline) in December of 2022 and did not start the assembly until February 2023.
The engine assembly went smooth and all parts fit perfectly.
I purchased the Rcexl CDI ignition system for this engine and I am still getting this set up so I’ll update this review after its all installed and I get this little gem running.
EngineDIY has been good to work with and have been good about getting me all the necessary upgraded components for the CDI ignition.
I did get the supercharger add on as well but will probably install that after I get this little engine running and debugged first.
I hope starting and debugging goes as smooth as the assembly that would make me very happy.

first i cant even find the instruction manual for the FS-V800WC.The included paperwork with QR codes states that it can be found at toyanengine.com. However I wasn't able to find it here either. I found the manual that was as close to that model number as I could.The instructions are unclear at times and could definitely be improved.i dont have any kind of tubing in the kit so I guess im missing parts because i have nothing to hook the water pump up with.I have been dying to own one of these engines for awhile, and now that I do I can say that they are entirely WAAAY too expensive.I understand the detail and precision as well as the difficulty that goes into designing and producing them,but they should be about half the price. On top of that I cant even start mine withgout dropping another $300 on the starter kit. Thats INSANE! the starter kit should be included for what they are charging.Other than that the quality is good but unfortunately these motors are out of reach for the vast majority of the population due to their insanely high pricepoint.

Won't get to the actual build for some time, but inspected the kit and I am impressed - quality through and through, beautifully crafted parts nestled in quality foam trays stacked in an actual wooden box... the hardest part about starting this kit will be the need to undo all of that.
