This is a small petrol engine based on a Chinese 20 hp industrial diesel engine. It is nice to look at and -apart from the faults mentioned below - of good quality, and it runs well.
However, the "one way bearing" did not survive the first starting attempt; the needles fell out. The throttle adjustment with the screw on the left side of the engine does not work properly; I had to take out the linking wire. Both faults are design problems.
After only 4 runs the engine could not be started again. Investigation showed that the ignition system was not working. Further investigation showed that the Hall sensor had become detached; glueing it back onto its bracket solved the problem.
With a few small modifications the engine now runs quite well. But it gets very hot quite quickly - including the petrol tank. Therefore I do not dare to run it longer than a couple of minutes at a time.
Because of the problems only 4 stars.
Would I buy it again? Yes, because I like it.
