As the `operation manual` states on PG2 and PG5 I provided a 48v 10ah battery ( at a cost of £198) for the control of the brushless starter motor. before making any electrical connections i asked `Customer service` for a wiring diagram to which they responded with a photograph of a crude wiring setup that had different colour coded wires to mine supplied. Further queries remained unanswered, just a repeat copy of the photograph. I made the connections as shown ignoring the coding and the orientation of the speed control connector and the system was dead. I have tried replacing the speed controller and the system remains dead. The `operation manual` PG6 states `Press the start button to make the flywheel run at high speed` What start button? the button on the speed controller is a switch and has no function. As the start system is useless then I am unable to rotate the engine other than by hand.
Other parts that require replacing in this starter kit are the 2.5mm hose connectors for 5mm and the 70cc fuel tank with a 300cc tank as required by the `Operation manual` PG5/6 and 10. Also the Hall sensor cable and the CDI cable have female connectors so a male to male extension cable will be required.
